Solana Tests $120 as ETF Demand and Tokenized Gold Expand the SOL Story

SOL trades near $120 as ETF inflows stay positive, network activity strengthens and DGLD tokenized gold launches natively on Solana.

Solana price tests $120 as ETF demand and DGLD tokenized gold expand the SOL ecosystem

Solana is hovering around the $120 level, putting one of the market’s strongest recent altcoin recoveries at an important technical test.

SOL has gained ground over recent weeks while institutional demand, network activity and real-world asset adoption have all added support to the broader Solana story.

The latest development came with the native launch of DGLD on Solana, giving users blockchain-based exposure to allocated physical gold. At the same time, U.S. Solana exchange-traded funds have continued to attract capital, although weekly inflows have cooled sharply from the previous record pace.

That leaves Solana with a constructive setup heading into the week — but also a clear question: can SOL establish itself above $120 and push toward higher resistance levels?

Solana ETF Demand Remains Positive but Has Slowed

Institutional demand has been one of the strongest themes behind SOL’s recent performance.

U.S. spot Solana ETFs attracted a record $188 million in net inflows during the week ending September 25, with all seven funds receiving new money.

More recent weekly flows have been considerably smaller, however.

Data cited in recent market analysis showed approximately $2.4 million in inflows last week, meaning demand remained positive but lost much of its previous momentum.

Monthly figures nevertheless point to continued institutional interest, with September inflows reported substantially above August levels.

The slowdown does not automatically signal that investors are abandoning SOL. ETF flows can vary significantly from week to week, especially following an unusually strong period.

The more important question is whether positive flows can persist if Solana attempts to break through its current resistance.

SOL Faces an Important Test Around $120 to $125

The Solana price has been trading around $120 after several sessions of recovery.

Technical indicators continue to point to a mildly bullish structure.

SOL remains above several important moving averages, while momentum indicators such as the Relative Strength Index have stayed in positive territory without showing extreme conditions.

The main resistance area now sits roughly between $120 and $125.

A convincing breakout above that zone could bring the next upside levels into focus. Some technical projections place an initial target near $133, while a stronger continuation could eventually put the $150 area back on traders’ radar.

That should not be treated as a guaranteed price target.

If SOL fails to overcome resistance, the first important support region sits around $118 to $119, followed by approximately $116. A deeper retracement could put the $110 area back into play.

Solana Network Activity Supports the Bullish Case

Price action is only one part of the picture.

Recent on-chain data has shown improving activity across the Solana ecosystem, including rising active addresses and strong decentralized exchange usage.

Fees generated by Solana applications have also remained elevated, suggesting that activity is not coming exclusively from speculation around SOL itself.

The network has increasingly become a home for:

  • decentralized exchanges
  • tokenized real-world assets
  • stablecoins
  • meme coins
  • trading applications
  • DeFi protocols

Strong network activity does not guarantee that SOL’s price will rise, but continued usage can strengthen the fundamental case for the blockchain.

DGLD Brings Tokenized Physical Gold to Solana

Solana’s real-world asset ecosystem also expanded this week with the native launch of DGLD, a token linked to allocated physical gold.

DGLD is issued by Gold Token SA, the tokenization arm of Swiss precious-metals company MKS PAMP.

Each DGLD token represents co-ownership rights corresponding to one fine troy ounce of allocated, LBMA-certified gold held in segregated and insured vaults in Switzerland.

DGLD was already available on Ethereum and Base and is now native on Solana. It can be accessed through SwissBorg, while on-chain liquidity is managed by Arrakis Finance.

The development is notable because tokenized real-world assets are becoming an increasingly important part of the crypto market.

Instead of representing a purely digital asset, products such as DGLD connect blockchain infrastructure with assets that exist outside the crypto ecosystem.

Macro Conditions Could Still Influence SOL

Solana also remains sensitive to the wider U.S. economic environment.

Markets are watching Federal Reserve policy closely after softer inflation and employment data reduced some concerns about further rate increases.

Lower expectations for tighter monetary policy can support risk assets because investors may become more willing to hold equities and cryptocurrencies.

SOL is therefore not trading in isolation.

Its next major move will likely depend on a combination of ETF demand, network activity, liquidity and the broader direction of the crypto market.

What Comes Next for Solana?

For SOL, $120 to $125 is the area to watch.

A sustained breakout could strengthen the case for another leg higher, while rejection from that region would increase the likelihood of a short-term pullback.

The underlying Solana ecosystem remains active, ETF flows are still positive, and the DGLD launch adds another real-world asset use case to the network.

But after a strong recovery, traders will want to see whether those fundamentals are strong enough to translate into sustained buying above resistance.

For now, Solana enters the week with momentum on its side — but the breakout still needs to be confirmed.
